While Homerun Hopefuls has completed its collections for 2011, we are happy to accept donations of equipment or clothing year round, to be brought to the Dominican Republic personally next summer.
If you would like to make donations to Homerun Hopefuls, we would be extremely appreciative to receive any of the following items (new or second-hand): mitts, bats, balls, batting gloves, catcher's equipment (shin guards, chest protectors, catcher's masks), helmets, bases, sneakers and cleats (all sizes), t-shirts, baseball hats, baseball pants, and baseball jerseys.
Organizing a Collection at Your Local Little League or School
A key part of the Homerun Hopefuls program is the organizing of collection drives by young adults throughout the United States. The experience of organizing a collection campaign has shown to have a positive impact on those involved, including the development of leadership skills, organizational skills, confidence and self-fulfillment. Homerun Hopefuls works closely with everyone interested in conducting a drive and provides a variety of resources to help along the way.
